Let’s begin!

Ava Headwrap Pattern

R1: CH 16, DC 3 in 4th ch from hook, DC 1 in last CH, CH 3 and turn

R2: DC 3 in first CH-SP and in every CH-SP after, DC 1 to the 3rd CH of the last turning chain, CH 3, turn

Repeat R2, until your band measures the number of inches, shown in the size chart. Fasten off, leave a long tail, and measure.  In this tutorial I made a 12 inch band, folded it in half and measured again. It was exactly 6 inches. Remember that when you do this, at least in my case, it helps to keep the circumference almost exact. Just a tip.

Let’s make a headwrap!

Thread your needle into the yarn tail, fold in half and begin to sew across, through both top loops.  I recommend the whip stitch (insert needle through the front, whip around and work through the front again, until the end of row) it’s faster and a bit more secure.

Now to make it pretty! YAY!

Thread your yarn through the center of the fold, and pull gently. This now becomes a bow. All you do at this point is wrap the yarn around the center, and sew ends into the wrapped yarn. Turn inside out and you now have, an Ava Headwrap!
